The idea of the proyect arises from generating a connection between the Ingres Museum and a new building or extension through different tools o strategies, such as visual relation, formals, spatials and sensitive. 

We have been for along time thinking and reflecting about the museum and its characteristics like the function, distribution, the paths, light and spaces. 

At first, i thought about in a building composed by various volumes, but finally, i decided to create a compact volume that in one way it was an extension or prolongation of the Ingres Museum basement. So the intetion is to fill that urban emptiness. However, i decided to mantein the original stairs becouse it serve like transitional space between the both buildings. 

This compact volume that apparently outside shows a blind wall and introvert aspect, but nevertheless, inside of the building happens the opposite, and are generated a set of empties that model and originate the interior, and also the configuration of the different rooms or spaces. 

Therefore, its created a sequence of full, empty and full, where in the center appears triple hight space where the paths or ways are generated. So, when you are walking through the museum you can experiment and discover different ambiences, atmospheres, proportions and feelings, becouse the path is thought to be dinamic and free. Thus, the rooms or spaces are designed differently from one another. These rooms are iluminated by skylights. 

In the only moment in which you can have a relation and visual connection with the exterior its when you pass through the runway that crosses the wall of the facade. 

The cafe is located on the roof of the building like a box fallen from the sky and its stays on the edge as if it to fall. The access to cafe is made through a narrow path that crosses a thin sheet of water that reflecting, like a mirror, the Ingres museum and the elements there are around.
